Jewish Federations Petition Pope to Help Free Alan Gross February 28, 2012 The Jewish Federations of North America is calling for support for an online petition urging Pope Benedict XVI to seek the release of Alan Gross during the upcoming papal visit to Cuba.
The petition is part of a nationwide appeal by the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Washington to free Washington D.C.-area resident Gross, who was arrested in Cuba in December 2009. The JCRC of Greater Washington is a partner agency of the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington.
Gross was imprisoned while conducting humanitarian activities in Cuba. He was convicted by a Cuban court for "actions against the integrity of the State," and sentenced to 15 years in prison. Since his arrest, Gross has reportedly lost around 100 pounds and is suffering from several ailments.
"We continue to urge the release of Mr. Gross on humanitarian grounds," said Michael Gelman, chair of the JFNA Executive Committee. "We stand in solidarity with the North American Jewish community in our hope that Alan can soon be reunited with his family after two long years of imprisonment."
JFNA respectfully requests that you sign this petition at
"The Gross family continues to suffer greatly — physically, economically, emotionally and spiritually — and we must do everything we can to bring this to an end," said Ron Halber, executive director of the JCRC of Greater Washington. "Please help us fulfill the primary Jewish value of pidyon shivuim, redemption of the captive."

Jewish Federations, along with other groups including the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, has been calling for Cuba to free Gross and for the United States to advocate for Gross as well. Gross's wife, Judy, spoke at JFNA's General Assembly in 2011 in Denver.

Apostolic Nunciature of the Holy See

Dear Archbishop,
We, the undersigned, seek your assistance, as most esteemed ambassador of His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI to the United States, in raising a matter of utmost importance with His Holiness in anticipation of his upcoming visit to Cuba. Since December 2009, Alan P. Gross, a 62 year old American international development worker, has been imprisoned in Cuba for his efforts to help the Cuban Jewish community improve its access to the internet. Prior to his arrest, Alan’s life was dedicated to improving the lives of others, particularly those less fortunate. He worked in more than 50 countries—including Iraq, Afghanistan, Africa and Haiti—and never had any legal trouble in any of the countries he worked in or visited, until now.
Alan and his wife of over 40 years, Judy Gross, reside in the Washington, DC area and have two daughters—Shira (27) and Nina (24). Since his arrest, Alan’s physical and emotional health have deteriorated significantly. He has lost over 100 pounds and has developed a number of serious health issues that are cause for great concern. But more importantly, he is beginning to lose hope. Alan’s family has also faced a number of health crises since his arrest, including his 89-year old mother’s ongoing battle with lung cancer. She fears she may not live long enough to see him again. Alan and his family are suffering tremendously as a result of their separation. In addition, they are facing significant financial hardship due to the loss of Alan’s income.
Accordingly, we, the undersigned, most humbly request that whatever efforts necessary be made so that Pope Benedict XVI can obtain Alan’s release from prison on humanitarian grounds during his upcoming visit to Cuba on March 26-28, 2012.
With every good wish to Your Excellency.
Sincerely,
We are confident that any such efforts made by the Pope to gain Alan’s release will not only be enormously appreciated by the Gross family and the United States government, but by all communities of faith and the international community as a whole.

Psalm 17

A prayer of David.
 1 Hear me, LORD, my plea is just;
   listen to my cry.
Hear my prayer—
   it does not rise from deceitful lips.
2 Let my vindication come from you;
   may your eyes see what is right.

 3 Though you probe my heart,
   though you examine me at night and test me,
you will find that I have planned no evil;
   my mouth has not transgressed.
4 Though people tried to bribe me,
   I have kept myself from the ways of the violent
   through what your lips have commanded.
5 My steps have held to your paths;
   my feet have not stumbled.

 6 I call on you, my God, for you will answer me;
   turn your ear to me and hear my prayer.
7 Show me the wonders of your great love,
   you who save by your right hand
   those who take refuge in you from their foes.
8 Keep me as the apple of your eye;
   hide me in the shadow of your wings
9 from the wicked who are out to destroy me,
   from my mortal enemies who surround me.

 10 They close up their callous hearts,
   and their mouths speak with arrogance.
11 They have tracked me down, they now surround me,
   with eyes alert, to throw me to the ground.
12 They are like a lion hungry for prey,
   like a fierce lion crouching in cover.

 13 Rise up, LORD, confront them, bring them down;
   with your sword rescue me from the wicked.
14 By your hand save me from such people, LORD,
   from those of this world whose reward is in this life.
May what you have stored up for the wicked fill their bellies;
   may their children gorge themselves on it,
   and may there be leftovers for their little ones.

 15 As for me, I will be vindicated and will see your face;
   when I awake, I will be satisfied with seeing your likeness

We have hope and comfort because we know we can pray to God and He hears our prayers!
He saves us by His right hand-Jesus and through Him we have Hope and Salvation Blessing and Favour Amen!Thank You Lord Jesus May You be Praised forever Amen!

Psalm 16

1 Keep me safe, my God,
   for in you I take refuge.

 2 I say to the LORD, “You are my Lord;
   apart from you I have no good thing.”
3 I say of the holy people who are in the land,
   “They are the noble ones in whom is all my delight.”
4 Those who run after other gods will suffer more and more.
   I will not pour out libations of blood to such gods
   or take up their names on my lips.

 5 LORD, you alone are my portion and my cup;
   you make my lot secure.
6 The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
   surely I have a delightful inheritance.
7 I will praise the LORD, who counsels me;
   even at night my heart instructs me.
8 I keep my eyes always on the LORD.
   With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

 9 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
   my body also will rest secure,
10 because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,
   nor will you let your faithful one see decay.
11 You make known to me the path of life;
   you will fill me with joy in your presence,
   with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

The Lord Jesus Is our Salvation Our Portion Our Cup.He is to be Praised forever!He is Our Counselor and Instructs us how to live.He is our inheritance.Through Him we have Life.
It says with God at my right Hand I will not be shaken.I am established through Him and His works. When hand is used in scripture it is in reference to works.Right means favour and goodness. So through God's goodness and favour by His works I am saved and established on earth and in heaven.
When the scripture says You will not let your faithfull one see decay it prophesied of God's promised to raise Jesus from the dead and not allow Him to decay.It was this promise that Jesus was raised to life on the third day that we know scripture was fullfilled Jesus was faithfull and completed the work and through Him we have hope of everlasting Life!Amen Praise Jesus!:)

Psalm 15

Psalm 15

A psalm of David.  1 LORD, who may dwell in your sacred tent?
   Who may live on your holy mountain?

 2 The one whose walk is blameless,
   who does what is righteous,
   who speaks the truth from their heart;
3 whose tongue utters no slander,
   who does no wrong to a neighbor,
   and casts no slur on others;
4 who despises a vile person
   but honors those who fear the LORD;
who keeps an oath even when it hurts,
   and does not change their mind;
5 who lends money to the poor without interest;
   who does not accept a bribe against the innocent.

   Whoever does these things
   will never be shaken.

When this psalm asks the question who shall dwell on your Holy Mountain, the mountain always refers to kingdoms in scripture so it asks -Whoever is The righteous and blameless one that dwells in your kingdom?
The answer is through Jesus The one who makes us righteous and blameless we have hope of dwelling in God's Kingdom-Amen!

Psalm 14

Psalm 14

 1 The fool says in his heart,
   “There is no God.”
They are corrupt, their deeds are vile;
   there is no one who does good.

 2 The LORD looks down from heaven
   on all mankind
to see if there are any who understand,
   any who seek God.

We must always be ready to acknowledge God and share our faith with others.We must seek God and He is faithfull and will reveal Himself.If any are willing- Pray to Jesus to ask Him to reveal Himself and salvation to you!He will show you He cares Trust in The Lord Jesus!Amen
3 All have turned away, all have become corrupt;
   there is no one who does good,
   not even one.

When it says this we must acknowledge all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God but there is HOPE and our HOPE IS JESUS who saves us by giving to us HIS righteousness His goodness to us so that we are able to be in the kingdom of The Lord. Jesus said "There is none good but God alone is good." He -Jesus fullfilled the law perfectly and lived that life for us so that we who have sinned may be cleansed by the shed blood of Jesus on the cross.We can be baptised into His death and Resurrection to LIFE EVERLASTING through Jesus qualifying us as HIS own!We can be forgiven and renewed through THE POWER of THE HOLY SPIRIT!
 4 Do all these evildoers know nothing?
   They devour my people as though eating bread;
   they never call on the LORD.
5 But there they are, overwhelmed with dread,
   for God is present in the company of the righteous.
6 You evildoers frustrate the plans of the poor,
   but the LORD is their refuge.

 7 Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion!
   When the LORD restores his people,
   let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!
-Let us THANK GOD that HE IS FAITHFULL to His Word!Amen  The salvation for Israel out of Zion IS JESUS He came to this earth for Israel and the gentiles who needed salvation! The Lord was faithfull to all His scriptural promises,He has restored His people Israel as a nation-May God be praised! He will renew His people through The Power of The Holy Spirit He will baptise them in Himself and save them.Elohim-The Holy Trinity Father Son Holy Spirit IS OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR AMEN!

Psalm 13

Psalm 13 verse 5 , 6
5 But I trust in your unfailing love;
   my heart rejoices in your salvation.
6 I will sing the LORD’s praise,
   for he has been good to me.

I thank God that He sent Jesus and shows us His unfailing love towards all mankind! We should all rejoice knowing our salvation is through Christ Jesus our Messiah! Let Jesus be praised forever! Thank you Lord Jesus for being good to me and my family and my city and nation.Thank you for watching over us delivering us providing us with your salvation and blessing!Thankyou Amen.

Psalm 12

Psalm 12
1 Help, LORD, for no one is faithful anymore;
   those who are loyal have vanished from the human race.

We should all pray to God to help us be faithfull.Let us be established through Christ Jesus here on earth.
2 Everyone lies to their neighbor;
   they flatter with their lips
   but harbor deception in their hearts.

I pray that Jesus guards  my heart and keeps me from deception. The heart is the mind the will and the emotions so I need to keep my thoughts my decisions and choices on your word Jesus.I shouldn't be making only emotional decision making but rather line my thinking up with what the word of God says about any matter so I know what the truth is and can discern the right thing to do in any situation and therefore avoid the deception and false worldly system that is so pervasive today.
 3 May the LORD silence all flattering lips
   and every boastful tongue—

flattery does not get us everywhere!Honesty and being genuine is more important.
4 those who say,
   “By our tongues we will prevail;
   our own lips will defend us—who is lord over us?”

 5 “Because the poor are plundered and the needy groan,
   I will now arise,” says the LORD.
   “I will protect them from those who malign them.”
Thank God he protects and watches over us and brings restoration where there has formerly been injustice.This can give us hope when at times life seems to be unfair when it makes you wonder why some who flatter or unjustly get promoted seem to have advantage but when we look at the long term bigger picture their success is only temporary where as in the long run when we are patient for God to work in our situation and circumstances when He promotes us and establishes us no one can take that away.God brings justice to every situation,we just have to trust and wait for His timing.He sees all and knows all.
6 And the words of the LORD are flawless,
   like silver purified in a crucible,
   like gold refined seven times.

 7 You, LORD, will keep the needy safe
   and will protect us forever from the wicked,
8 who freely strut about
   when what is vile is honored by the human race.

We need to make sure we are honouring and giving respect to the right things.Putting God at the top of our priority list to Honour and respect Him first and foremost and exulting Jesus. Then when we have our priorities in check then we can focus our attention on giving recognition to those persons who live according to God's principles and bring about goodness love meekness mercy and grace kindness and help to others.That is more in line with what we should give recognition to.People who do a good service in this life not superficial people who act out just to seek attention for attentions sake.To often we are focusing in our culture those who don't use morals to succeed and don't have any discernable talent.As a culture we need a paradigm shift to focus on the people who matter who can have a positive rather than negative influence.
The biblical advisement through the psalms is as relevant today as it ever was we need it more so now I think! Its a kind of warning that your results/consequences you get out of this life is based on what you think.
The old addage What you think can achieve What you believe is what you get!Its true. Some call it "The Secret" but when has this ever been a secret?God made it plain. What you put as your priority,What you think of guides your emotions and often your emotions guide you will your choices and as a result your actions. So basically if we want good results and blessings we have to Make God and His Word our priority and give it highest place.Thinking that way letting it guide our emotions making our choices based on that then we get the positive results and outcome of blessings. If we all did this more our culture would be impacted and we could use our discernment to focus on positive and get a better more blessed society.

Psalm 11

1 In the LORD I take refuge.
   How then can you say to me:
   “Flee like a bird to your mountain.

This scripture questions:Who dare tells us to move to our kingdom as though anything else has authority.
Only God's Kingdom has supreme authority through Christ Jesus.He is the highest authority and His kingdom shall not be moved! We are to stand in confidence knowing Christ establishes our steps and places us and gives us our authority so we must not be moved or react to any other oppositon we face.
2 For look, the wicked bend their bows;
   they set their arrows against the strings
to shoot from the shadows
   at the upright in heart.
3 When the foundations are being destroyed,
   what can the righteous do?”

This asks what can we do? We can trust and be confident in Christ Jesus' faitfullness!He delivers us and on His foundation we shall stand!Amen
 4 The LORD is in his holy temple;
   the LORD is on his heavenly throne.
He observes everyone on earth;
   his eyes examine them.

We have hope because God watches over us.He sees all so we know He understands exactly what we are going through and we can turn to Him always!
5 The LORD examines the righteous,
   but the wicked, those who love violence,
   he hates with a passion.
6 On the wicked he will rain
   fiery coals and burning sulfur;
   a scorching wind will be their lot.

 7 For the LORD is righteous,
   he loves justice;
   the upright will see his face.

We have righteousness through Christ Jesus and hope of salvation and seeing and knowing God our Father!:)

Psalm 10

Psalm 10 verse16 The LORD is King for ever and ever;
We can trust God is in control.Psalm 10 deals with someone asking God as to why the ones who aren't living His way seem to prosper? It let's us know that it is only temporary because God sees all and will judge. He sees the poor and afflicted in thier troubles and will deliver and redeem them.We are to commit ourselves to Him because He is our defense.Jesus is our righteousness. Sometimes while we don't always understand why things are the way they are in the here and now we can trust that the Lord has good plans for us -Jeremiah 29-11 Plans to prosper you plans for you to succeed. Ezekial 36-26 I will cleanse you and give you a new heart and place a new spirit in you taking from you your stony heart and giving you a natural heart.I will put my Spirit in you and make you live by me statutes carefull to observe my decreesYou shall live in the land I gave your fathers and you shall be my people and I shall be your God.I will save you from all impurities I will order your grain to be abundant and I will not send famine against you .I will increase your fruit on your trees and your crops in your fields thus among the nations you shall no longer bear reproach or famine.
So through this scripture we can see Jesus who is King above all Kings Lord above all Lords sees all.The ones without the Lord will not prosper in the end.We have justice and blessing and prosperity and our HOPE in Christ Jesus who gives us The HOLY SPIRIT to cleanse us make us renewed and pure.We can have our depressed thinking changed and stop looking at the worlds ways and what they do or don not have and we can look to Jesus as our source and provision.He blesses us and causes us to prosper and takes away our former reproach. We don't need to lack,we don't need to compare ourselves with what others have we have only to look to God who establishes us and prospers us.We can trust in that!Praise Jesus

Psalm 9

Psalm 9-     Excerpts from this psalm

1 I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart;
   I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
2 I will be glad and rejoice in you;
   I will sing the praises of your name, O Most High.

God's sacred name YHVH=Jesus We praise Jesus eternally.

4 For you have upheld my right and my cause,
   sitting enthroned as the righteous judge.

Jesus is enthroned on High and is our righteous judge.

 7 The LORD reigns forever;
   he has established his throne for judgment.
8 He rules the world in righteousness
   and judges the peoples with equity.
9 The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed,
   a stronghold in times of trouble.
10 Those who know your name trust in you,
   for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.

 11 Sing the praises of the LORD, enthroned in Zion;
   proclaim among the nations what he has done.

14 that I may declare your praises
   in the gates of Daughter Zion,
   and there rejoice in your salvation.

Jesus provides the way for our salvation

16 The LORD is known by his acts of justice;

18 But God will never forget the needy;
   the hope of the afflicted will never perish.

We can trust God cares for us and provides for all of our needs.

Psalm 8

Psalm 8

 1 LORD, our Lord,
   how majestic is your name in all the earth!

His Name (Jehova/YahweH) =YHVH =The hand of God naile din grace=Jesus His name is majestic because Jesus is our King above all Kings!
   You have set your glory
   in the heavens.

Jesus is God's glory manifested presence in heaven at His right hand. He is God's working and favour to us.
2 Through the praise of children and infants
   you have established a stronghold against your enemies,
   to silence the foe and the avenger.
3 When I consider your heavens,
   the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
   which you have set in place,
4 what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
   human beings that you care for them?

We can look around to the stars the sky and see God's deisgn and majesty we know we have a creator.
 5 You have made them  a little lower than the angels
   and crowned them with glory and honor.
6 You made them rulers over the works of your hands;
   you put everything under their  feet:
7 all flocks and herds,
   and the animals of the wild,
8 the birds in the sky,
   and the fish in the sea,
   all that swim the paths of the seas.

We learn in this scripture God gives us responsibility as a steward over the earth and all in it the animals.We are to responsible as to how we use the authority God gave us to manage and care for what He has given us.
 9 LORD, our Lord,
   how majestic is your name in all the earth! =Praise Jesus!

Psalm 7

Psalm 7

 1 LORD my God, I take refuge in you;
   save and deliver me from all who pursue me,
  Awake, my God; decree justice.
7 Let the assembled peoples gather around you,
   while you sit enthroned over them on high.
 8 Let the LORD judge the peoples.
Vindicate me, LORD, according to my righteousness,
   according to my integrity, O Most High.
9 Bring to an end the violence of the wicked
   and make the righteous secure—
you, the righteous God
   who probes minds and hearts.

 10 My shield is God Most High,
   who saves the upright in heart.
11 God is a righteous judge,

 17 I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness;
   I will sing the praises of the name of the LORD Most High

In this scripture I posted excerpts where we can learn that we can take refuge in God.
God delivers us.God decrees justice.He is enthroned on High and is righteousness.He can intervene in all matters and help us and save us.He is the one we should look to for our help. He knows our mind and hearts-the thought the will the emotions and will judge,he will make the righteous secure.Those in Christ Jesus covered in His righteousness.He is our shield,takes the penalty and turns away harm from us.He protects guards and watches over us.God is our righteous judge.
These passages gives us comfort and Hope!

Psalm 6

Psalm 6

 1 LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger
   or discipline me in your wrath.
2 Have mercy on me, LORD, for I am faint;
   heal me, LORD, for my bones are in agony.
3 My soul is in deep anguish.
   How long, LORD, how long?

 4 Turn, LORD, and deliver me;
   save me because of your unfailing love.
5 Among the dead no one proclaims your name.
   Who praises you from the grave?

In the beginning of this scripture we can see it is possible to ask for God's mercy and grace when we need it. When we are anguished the answer is always to turn to God to deal with it to cast our burdens sorrows to Him.We also see that while we question How long? Sometimes God chooses to deal with things in a way or timeframe that we are not always able to understand. He is in control and knows exactly the right time to bring about our healing and deliverance. Sometimes we have to wait before circumstances change until we develope the character and ability and maturity and wsidom to deal with being lifted up to a new level of promotion.Sometimes we nedd to be prepared for what God has in store.We have to learn patience which means to continue on in life.Sometimes it just a matter of developing our trust in God during these times.When we go though this waitng the best thing is to always Praise God and develope our trust and love and respect for Him and worship Him and put Him first place in our life.By doing this by making Him our highest authority by living His ways suddenly we start to see the results and good consequences come about as a result.So praising and worshipping God is always our answer and our start.Having that relationship and hearing His voice and direction for our lives through His word is where we find our answers.

Psalm 5

New International Version (NIV)
 1 Listen to my words, LORD,
   consider my lament.
In this scripture we know we can talk to God about anything.We can bring our sorrows/laments to Him and this shows us the healthy way to deal with our loss and grief.We don't need to feel overwhelmed and if we do we can depend on God to listen and help us through.
2 Hear my cry for help,
   my King and my God,
   for to you I pray.
In this scripture we can depend on the fact that God hears our prayers.
 3 In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice;
   in the morning I lay my requests before you
   and wait expectantly.

We can be optimistic that God hears and will answer our prayers. To be successfull in getting our prayers to achieve success,we must profess,to declare ones belief openly in agreement with what God's word has to say about a situation.It helps if we pray a scripture we find from God's word and pray in agreement with what we know God wants for the situation.We have only to pray and wait on His answer to our prayers but we must always understand His ways are higher than our ways and thinking.How He responds and answers is not always how we expect or think it should be so we have to stay humble and wait on His response how He determines best to answer and deal with what we put before Him.
7 But I, by your great love,
   can come into your house;
in reverence I bow down
   toward your holy temple.

Through Jesus who is our High Priest and intercessor we can always have an advocate before the Father.We are made righteous through Christ and can submit to God's authority through Him.It is through Christ we are qualified and made right and can enter into God's kingdom family.
 8 Lead me, LORD, in your righteousness
   because of my enemies—
   make your way straight before me.
We can alway rely on God's guidance for our life.He makes it clear through scripture how He would want us to live and guides us through His word.
11 But let all who take refuge in you be glad;
   let them ever sing for joy.
Spread your protection over them,
   that those who love your name may rejoice in you.

The Name of the Lord is a strong tower,our strength our deliverence.Those that love your name rejoice!The name of God- YHVH (some refer to Jehova/Yaweh) are the Jewish letters which mean the hand of God nailed in grace. The very name is our promise our hope our deliverer Our Saviour and That is why we can Rejoice because we know before we even knew God He first loved us and did everything to ensure we are saved it is because of His love we live we breathe we exist we have purpose and Life through Christ.We can find our joy and happiness knowing we can trust and take comfort in that knowledge. If we need to find our Joy we can study the scripture to learn all that God has done for us to show us how loved we all are.
 12 Surely, LORD, you bless the righteous;
   you surround them with your favor as with a shield

The Lord is my sheild-my guard my protection the one who turns away harm and takes the penalty for me.
We are blessed through Christs righteousness.His holiness His goodness and mercy and grace which covers us.

Psalm 4

Psalm 4

New International Version (NIV)

    For the director of music. With stringed instruments. A psalm of David.  1 Answer me when I call to you,
   my righteous God.
Give me relief from my distress;
   have mercy on me and hear my prayer.
 2 How long will you people turn my glory into shame?
   How long will you love delusions and seek false gods?
3 Know that the LORD has set apart his faithful servant for himself;
   the LORD hears when I call to him.
 4 Tremble and do not sin;
   when you are on your beds,
   search your hearts and be silent.
5 Offer the sacrifices of the righteous
   and trust in the LORD.
 6 Many, LORD, are asking, “Who will bring us prosperity?”
   Let the light of your face shine on us.
7 Fill my heart with joy
   when their grain and new wine abound.
 8 In peace I will lie down and sleep,
   for you alone, LORD,
   make me dwell in safety.
----
Through this scripture we know that we can pray to God and seek our answers from Him.He will have mercy on us and show us His grace.He can set us apart for His purpose,we have only to pray to seek out what that is! We can search our hearts-the mind the will and our emotions to find answers He provides when we meditate on His Word. The Lord gives us Light and Truth and understanding our wisdom comes from Him.We have only to pray to ask and we shall recieve. The Lord Jesus makes us safe and gives us true peace!

Psalm 3

New International Version (NIV)

 1 LORD, how many are my foes!
   How many rise up against me!
2 Many are saying of me,
   “God will not deliver him.”

 3 But you, LORD, are a shield around me,
   my glory, the One who lifts my head high.
4 I call out to the LORD,
   and he answers me from his holy mountain.

 5 I lie down and sleep;
   I wake again, because the LORD sustains me.
6 I will not fear though tens of thousands
   assail me on every side.

 7 Arise, LORD!
   Deliver me, my God!
Strike all my enemies on the jaw;
   break the teeth of the wicked.

 8 From the LORD comes deliverance.
   May your blessing be on your people.

In this scripture we can see that no matter how many foes troubles problems are out there God is faithful and He will deliver us! We have to place our trust in Jesus and His Word and focus on His promise and tune out the negative voices that speak negative. The Lord establishes us and gives us authority He lifts us up.He is our glory-our honour/fame/bliss/prosperity. We can call out to Him and Pray to God and He will answer us.
We can be comforted and have peace and rest in the knowledge God cares for us He Loves us and Sustains us like the psalmist says -our very breath of life each day is from Him and each day when we wake we can start out being gratefull for that and so much more.Sometimes remembering all of the things we take for granted and being gratefull for our blessings can really give us a whole new outlook on life!
We can take joy knowing God is our deliverer.He sets us free and rescues us.The Lord provides us with His Blessing!
To Be Blessed means: To make Holy,Sacred,Fortunate,Blissfull,Sanctified,Consecrated by blood(of Christ)
To give divine favour,To make happy and to praise-to commend-recommend the worth/respect/adherence to principles So we can get cleansed by The Blood and have our sins forgiven.We can be sanctified and set apart for Christs purpose,knowing we are part of His plan we have a purpose and value respect and through Him we have His ability to qualify us as able to fullfill His law through His sufficientcy and because of that we can have joy!We have true LIFE through Jesus Christ!We are blessed through Jesus and each of us has the priviledge of sharing that with others! Psalm 2

New International Version (NIV)

 1 Why do the nations conspire
   and the peoples plot in vain?
2 The kings of the earth rise up
   and the rulers band together
   against the LORD and against his anointed, saying,
3 “Let us break their chains
   and throw off their shackles.”  4 The One enthroned in heaven laughs;
   the Lord scoffs at them.
5 He rebukes them in his anger
   and terrifies them in his wrath, saying,
6 “I have installed my king
   on Zion, my holy mountain.”
 7 I will proclaim the LORD’s decree:
   He said to me, “You are my son;
   today I have become your father.
8 Ask me,
   and I will make the nations your inheritance,
   the ends of the earth your possession.
9 You will break them with a rod of iron
   you will dash them to pieces like pottery.”
 10 Therefore, you kings, be wise;
   be warned, you rulers of the earth.
11 Serve the LORD with fear
   and celebrate his rule with trembling.
12 Kiss his son, or he will be angry
   and your way will lead to your destruction,
for his wrath can flare up in a moment.
   Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

Psalm 1

Psalm 1

New International Version (NIV)

Psalm 1

 1 Blessed is the one
   who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
   or sit in the company of mockers,
2 but whose delight is in the law of the LORD,
   and who meditates on his law day and night.
3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
   which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
   whatever they do prospers.  4 Not so the wicked!
   They are like chaff
   that the wind blows away.
5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
   nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
 6 For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous,
   but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.
